Michael Redwine of LP2027 interviews the Progressive Independent Party‘s Executive Director Araquel Bloss. PIP wants to take the baton from Bernie’s campaign and consolidate Progressives into one party. From left-leaning Democratic moderates to the greenest for the green. PIP wants to unify all of these disparate folks into a formidable political force.

We sat down with Araquel to talk about PIP’s education platform. As a growing party, it is imperative that education is on the forefront of their policy prescriptions- from Pre-K to postgrad. Below you will find position on education:

“The Progressive Independent Party believes that all students deserve the opportunity to receive an affordable, quality education from the earliest stages of schooling to high-level degrees. From day one, we will send elected officials with legislation to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, as well as to drastically reduce interest rates on student loan debt. We achieve this by cutting redundant military spending and through a minor tax on Wall Street speculation, thus opening the door for an increase in federal funding for our educational system.”

This was a great discussion. We hope you enjoy!
